Bespoke secondary glazing with privacy glass creates a private bathroom for modern apartments based in Fulham
Secondary glazing is often installed to provide enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation, it can also create a private environment with the addition of privacy glass. Arctic Glaze’s range of bespoke secondary glazing can be customised to meet the needs of the project. As privacy was paramount, Arctic Glaze recommended installing a glass that had a high privacy rating of level 5.
With the bathroom situated next to a public walkway, the homeowner needed a solution that provided total privacy. Arctic Glaze were contracted by Granada Glazing to install durable horizontal sliders with privacy glass.
Horizontal sliders are commonly installed as they are slimline and provide full access to the primary window. They are simple to open as the glazed panels slide left and right on durable brass rollers. Horizontal sliders match the style of casement windows, each panel is specifically manufactured to match the size of each glazed panel within the primary window. This allows the secondary glazing to blend in seamlessly and to not be seen from the exterior of the building.
The glazed panels can be lifted out of the frame which allows homeowners to easily clean the rear of the panel. For enhanced security the secondary glazed panels securely lock into the durable aluminium outer frame, this can help prevent unauthorised access and provide total peace of mind. In addition to providing privacy, the homeowner noted that the secondary glazing created a peaceful and warm bathroom as it drastically increased both acoustic and thermal insulation.
