THE DETAILS

This is a single outer frame that can have anything from 2 single panes that individually slide on brass wheels, they either interlock or lock together with handle section. This product can come in as many panes as primary window dictates eg 5 pane slider.

Very effective if your primary has single or multiple transoms and the sight line needs to be in conjunction with the secondary.

These panels also have a very easy lift out operation as you are able to lift every individual panal and then pull the bottom towards you for ease of release from outer frame. The panal then comes fully out giving you an easy cleaning functionality.

Most of our Secondary Glazing styles come in two different product ranges, The Traditional which is the entry level system, and the Heritage which the flagship product.

The main differences being the Heritage Range is more robust and able to take glass from:

  • 4mm - 8mm (with the exception of the heritage hinged unit, which can take a 4mm - 28mm sealed unit.)

The Traditinal Range takes glass from

  • 4mm - 6.4mm

Horizontal sliding secondary glazing is extremely popular due to it being multi-functional and a perfect fit for most domestic and commercial properties.

Horizontal sliders are a versatile and slimline secondary glazing system that is available with a combination of two to five panels, they include twin brush seals that provide optimum thermal and acoustic insulation. They are commonly installed to wider windows as they can be manufactured to over four meters wide. The panels slide horizontally on durable brass rollers and lock into the outer frame to offer enhanced security.

They are designed to be installed within all homes and commercial buildings to substantially reduce notice entering the property and reduce heat loss. Their slimline appearance ensures a discreet finish and can be powder coated in over 200 RAL Colours. Each panel can be individually lifted out of the outer frame allowing you to easily clean the rear of the panels and to provide total access to the primary windows. This access is important and if required will allow you to maintain your primary windows. When installing within commercial buildings such as hotels we would advise that the panels are installed with an anti-lift block, this block prevents guests from lifting out the panels.

When specifying horizontal sliders, we recommend each panel size is measured to match the style of your primary window. If you have 3 panes of glass in your primary window the secondary glazed panels would be manufactured to match this. Matching the style of your primary window will make the secondary double glazing discreet and practically invisible from the exterior of the building.
